The House has its own electric meter from the Government (Large capacity 15(45A)) charging electric at a low rate 5.6 THB per unit unlike private generators that charge on average 35 THB per kwh so it is very cheap to be running aircon pool filters and other items required. However we do try here to keep power consumption to as little as possible for environmental reasons. Power here is still generated on the island by diesel generators at the government power station with large amounts od diesel being shipped across daily.
The water supply we have is from collected rain water. We have storage of 13 units (13,000 liters) in 3 tanks under the house where the pumps also reside. Water can also be delivered from other wells through existing pipes or by truck to fill up the tanks if running out through an extended dry season on this island. With heavy rain the tanks can be filled in less than a day.
There is also a phone line/internet conection suplied to the house now through a high speed optical line, no more unreliable electric lines/adsl used. from the countrie largest supplier TOT.
